Over You

There’s a lot of things I want to do

Be an astronaut and fly to the moon

Make a great speech on the eve of battle

Hear the tinkle of my baby’s rattle

But if there’s one thing I’ll never do

I’ll never ever get over you

I want to write a great American novel

Want to be someone that millions ogle

Want to see the world and then some

Want to keep my face to the sun

But if there’s one thing I’ll never do

I’ll never ever get over you

I want to fly an airplane all on my own

Create a masterpiece like the world’s never known

Scale a mountain so high over me

That when I look down the world’s at my feet

But if there’s one thing I’ll never do

I’ll never ever get over you

I keep feeling like my life will never begin

But when it does I’ll be pure as snow without any sin

Then I look at you and know I’d be content

With just you love and scrambling to pay the rent

It tears my heart in two to see you

Looking at her the way you do

So I’ll go back to being a celebrity

And my frozen smile is all you’ll ever see

But if there’s one thing I’ll never do

I’ll never ever get over you
