Dead boy's poem

She was like a white flame burning on a black candle
Hot and fierce and too pure for me to handle
She game me light while taking my all
She held me up while letting me fall
Her love was a laugh, her hate was a tear
She gave me nothing but strife when I showed my fear
I could have abandoned her if I tried
But by the time I thought to, I'd already died
