Yin Yang

The melody made her cry
Like she never had before
It left her feeling empty
And her heart so very sore

It was the wrongness in the right
It was the sorrow in the joy
It was the hate that came from love
And the broken pieces of her favorite toy

The silent whispers made him quake
In fear and hate and loathing
It left him feeling lost and alone
In the shreds of his ripped clothing

It was the wrongness in the right
It was the sorrow in the joy
It was the hate that came from love
And the life that he destroyed

He could have let her live
She could have let him die
But now they're lost together
And can't help but wonder why
They dance this tango
Of lies and deceit
It started with the music
And ended with six feet

It was the wrongness in the right
It was the sorrow in the joy
It was the hate that came from love
And how their lives were destroyed

Christmas tears

On the first day she cried,

The second day she laughed

The third day she sighed,

And the fourth day she cracked

On the fifth day he came,

And held her in his arms

On the sixth he was gone

And with him all her charm

On the seventh day she smiled

The eighth day she raged

The ninth day she yelled at the wind

And the tenth day she aged

On the eleventh day he wrote,

And said he’d come home soon

On the twelfth day he wasn’t there

And she fell in love with the moon

And when the epiphany finally came

He was left behind in the dust

She rose up like a shining star

And he was left in the rain to rust

A Dozen Roses

He gave her a dozen roses

Six pure white, six dark black

He said ‘these represent our love,

The things we have, and what we lack’

She threw them into a river

And said to him, ‘I’m done’

She didn’t want to be with him,

If he couldn’t see the fun

So now he watches the river

The petals floating by

And wonders what went wrong

When the love began to die
